Simulate a Wave Pattern<br />

What is Simulate<br />

Using Simulate<br />

The Wave Pattern Simulation grid displays a static representation of<br />

the wave pattern. The Simulate function displays the movement of<br />

the E-beam over time.<br />

Note: If the Frequency in both the latitudinal and longitudinal directions<br />

is the same, then the wave appears the same in both the<br />

Redraw and Simulate modes.<br />

To Simulate the E-beam motion:<br />

1. Create a new Recipe or retrieve an existing Recipe.<br />

2. In the Recipe window under the Wave Pattern Simulation grid,<br />

select Simulate.<br />

3. The E-beam displays on the Wave Pattern Simulation grid as a<br />

red circle tracing a black path along the pattern.<br />

4. To end the simulation, select Simulate again.<br />
