Simulate a Wave Pattern
What is Simulate
Using Simulate
The Wave Pattern Simulation grid displays a static representation of
the wave pattern. The Simulate function displays the movement of
the E-beam over time.
Note: If the Frequency in both the latitudinal and longitudinal directions
is the same, then the wave appears the same in both the
Redraw and Simulate modes.
To Simulate the E-beam motion:
1. Create a new Recipe or retrieve an existing Recipe.
2. In the Recipe window under the Wave Pattern Simulation grid,
select Simulate.
3. The E-beam displays on the Wave Pattern Simulation grid as a
red circle tracing a black path along the pattern.

4. To end the simulation, select Simulate again.
