4. Enter a Dwell Factor. Since the standard dwell time is 1 (1/1024
of a pattern cycle time), enter a number from 2 to 63.

5. Select OK. A red square displays to indicate the presence of a
Dwell Factor.

6. Select Simulate if you wish to view the E-beam moving along the
pattern
Import/Export an Arbitrary Pattern
After creating an Arbitrary waveform, you may wish to precisely edit
the points that define the pattern. With the Import/Export feature, you
can export the pattern as a text file (*.txt), open the file in any text
editor and edit the values, then import the file and view the revised
waveform.
