So Bazaar! is a mock indoor Bazaar accompanied by music and entertainment, held at the
vibrant and edgy venue of 60 Million Postcards at 7pm. Organised by the undergraduate
Events students at Bournemouth University, it is a free event that celebrates cultures and at
the same time, raising cultural awareness amongst students and the local community.
24 Mar 2010 1940s – 1950s Nostalgic Tea Dance
Bournemouth University students are organising a 1940s – 1950s themed tea dance for the
older residents of Winton and the surrounding area. The event will be held at the Salvation
Army Church Hall in Latimer Road, Winton and will run from 1.30pm – 4pm.
There is to be a live band, refreshments, dancing and a guest speaker. Tickets can be
purchased from the Winton Salvation Army Shop.
25 Mar 2010 GBH, Disorder & Apocalypse Babys
GBH, Disorder and Apocalypse Babys is to be held at the Champions, 51 Norwich Avenue
West at 8.30pm (doors open at 7.30pm). Tickets are priced at £9 or £10 on the door.
27 Mar 2010 Hot Red Chili Peppers & Karmine
Hot Red Chili Peppers and Karmine is to be held at the Champions, 51 Norwich Avenue West
from 7.30am – 2am. Tickets are priced at £6 or £8 on the door.
27 Mar 2010 Rainbow Fair
BA Hons Leisure Marketing Students are organising a Rainbow which is scheduled to run from
12pm – 2.30pm at the St. John’s Centre, Boscombe.
The Fair invites the multi-cultural students and parents of Bethany Junior School Federation
to enjoy a day of exploring different nationalities through various activities such as a fun
map task. The day will enhance the Boscombe community’s knowledge of other nationalities
in a fun, vibrant environment.
