10 Jul 2010 Saturday Morning in the Museum
Want to know more about the world around you? Visit the Bournemouth Natural Science
Society museum, 39 Christchurch Road, on our Saturday open mornings from 10.30am –
12.30pm.
The museum is based on collections made over the last century by members of the Society.
It includes natural history specimens, finds from archaeological digs in and around the
Bournemouth area and one of the best displays of local geology. Throughout the summer
we will be opening on some Saturday mornings with special hands-on activities for all ages.
On Saturday 10 th July, we will be featuring Insects and Other Bugs. Come and learn more about
the smaller members of the animal kingdom, looking at specimens from our collections.

Young Stars is an event taking place on 14 July which celebrates the achievements from young
people in Bournemouth. Nomination forms are set to be published in the Daily Echo and the
deadline for nomination is 18 June. This event is being held at the Royal Bath Hotel at 7pm.

15 Jul 2010 The Bicentennial Banners Display
Bournemouth Students have produced a selection of banners to celebrate the bicentenary which
are to be exhibited at the Bournemouth Library from 15 July – 13 August.
The banners will go on to the gallery wall on the second floor of the main library.
