10 Jul 2010 Bicentenary Community and School
Summer Fair
Kings Park Primary School and the Springbourne Residents Phoenix Group have been working
together to create a great community event, which will take place on Saturday 10 th July,
from 12noon til 4pm, at Kings Park playing field and school playground.
The Phoenix group have organized, among other things: a juggler on stilts, a mini steam
train, wriggle and rhyme sessions and most importantly a history tent displaying
photographs and information about Springbourne past. The school will be providing the
choir, dancing displays as well as other stalls and food. A time capsule competition is also
running and will be judged on the day. The capsule will be buried in the new park that will
be next to Springbourne Library.

10 Jul 2010 Westbourne Orchestral Society’s 80 th
Anniversary Concert
This celebratory prom style concert is being held at the De Vere Suite at the Royal Bath
Hotel, Bournemouth and is being conducted by Lee Marchant. The concert is due to run
from 7.30pm – 10.30pm and will include a light supper. Smart dress required. Tickets cost
£20 per person and groups of 10 are entitled to a 10% reduction.

10 Jul 2010 The 2010 Organ Concerts
The Organ concerts return for their fourth season of Saturday concerts. Richmond Hill St. Andrew's
URC, introduces the first of six concerts for 2010. Concerts are being held on Bourne Avenue
and St. Stephen's Roadand, running from 3pm.
