BISMARCK DISCLOSES<br />
"THE HIGH FINANCIAL POWERS OF EUROPE"<br />
Bismarck certainly knew that <strong>the</strong> American Civil War was<br />
fomented by what he called "<strong>the</strong> High Financial Powers of<br />
Europe." This is confirmed in <strong>the</strong> remarkable account published<br />
by Conrad Siem in La Vielle France, N 216, in March 1921.<br />
According to Siem, Bismarck talked with him in 1876 about <strong>the</strong><br />
Civil War:<br />
The division of <strong>the</strong> United States into two federations was<br />
decided long before <strong>the</strong> Civil War by <strong>the</strong> High Financial<br />
Powers of Europe. Those bankers were afraid of <strong>the</strong><br />
United States, if <strong>the</strong>y remained in one block and as one<br />
nation would attain economical and financial<br />
independence, which would upset <strong>the</strong>ir domination over<br />
<strong>the</strong> World. The voice of <strong>the</strong> Rothschilds predominated.<br />
They saw tremendous booty if <strong>the</strong>y substituted two feeble<br />
democracies indebted to <strong>the</strong>m, to <strong>the</strong> vigorous Republic,<br />
confident and self-providing.<br />
Lincoln never suspected <strong>the</strong>se underground<br />
machinations. He was Anti-Slaverist, and he was elected<br />
as such. But his character prevented him from being <strong>the</strong><br />
