covering letter to <strong>the</strong> Augsburger Zeitung, so that <strong>the</strong>y<br />

Some of <strong>the</strong> important statesmen <strong>the</strong> Rothschild had under<br />

<strong>the</strong>ir control began to worry about <strong>the</strong>ir power and influence.<br />

One of <strong>the</strong>se was Prince Metternich who was under <strong>the</strong><br />

firm control of Salomon Rothschild and regarded by him as no<br />

more than a "valet" for <strong>the</strong> Rothschild family. After bartering<br />

away a good deal of Austria's sovereignty, Metternich began to<br />

representative system.<br />

Too late did Metternich realize that by selling Austria he<br />

was playing right into <strong>the</strong> hands of <strong>the</strong> international<br />

revolutionaries, and when <strong>the</strong> revolutionary fires began to
