and entertaining event under
the “thank you for your trust” motto. Dr.
Markus Miele and Dr. Reinhard Zinkann
took the opportunity to show their appreciation
for the numerous customers
who have purchased new Miele largecabinet

Professional Forum opens in Gütersloh
Where professionals test technology
Customer groups from all over the globe now have another
reason to visit Miele headquarters in Gütersloh.
The new Professional Forum has provided this leader
in laundry, cleaning and medical technology with its own showroom
and an open invitation to experiment. Washing machines,
dryers and ironers, cleaner/disinfectors, laboratory and commercial
dishwashers are ready for a test run at any time. The advantages
of state-of-the-art Miele technology can now be shown by
practical example in 156 square metres.
Possible applications range from the analysis stand that tests
the water and electricity used by a washing machine to demonstrations
of the latest large-cabinet decontamination unit. Via
“live feed” cleaner/disinfectors can be connected to customer
service to demonstrate access per data telecommunication
to customers – and as such the advantages of Miele’s remote
service.
Dr. Markus Miele and Dr. Eduard Sailer opened the Professional
Forum with a press event for around 30 journalists from
Germany, Great Britain and Greece in May 2007. The new ex-
introduction to the market in March
2007, these machines have been installed
almost 200 times throughout Europe.
Many of the 137,000 Medica visitors
from at least 100 countries easily found
their way back to the Miele booth this
year. The new conveyor belts scheduled
to go on the market in 2008 were a central
focus of interest. Added to the largecabinet
decontamination units, they increase
ease of use for operators. Instru -
ments to be reprocessed can simply be
positioned in the respective loading trol-
ley. The conveyor belt then transports
them automatically into the wash cabinet
and back out again after reprocessing.
Also in the spotlight: The Miele Oxivario
Plus reprocessing method, which has now
been proven to effectively disinfect instruments
contaminated with the pathogen
that causes Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease
in animal testing. Miele customer support
also presented its wide spectrum of
services, from remote access service to
validation including all the necessary
instruments.
