4.4 No material or equipment may be delivered or installed at the job Site until<br />
the Contractor has in his possession, the approved Shop drawings for that<br />
particular material or equipment.<br />
4.5 After approval of the drawings by the Engineer, the Contractor shall further<br />
furnish six sets of Shop drawings for the exclusive use of and retention by<br />
the Engineer.<br />
4.6 Approval of drawings by the Engineer shall not relieve the Contractor of<br />
any part of his obligation to meet all the requirements of the Contract or of<br />
the correctness of his drawings. The Engineer's approval of specific item<br />
shall not mean the approval of the assembly of which it is a component.<br />
The Contractor shall be responsible for and is to bear the cost for all<br />
alternations of the works due to discrepancies or omission in the drawings<br />
or other particulars supplied by him, whether such drawings have been<br />
approved by the Engineer or not.<br />
4.7 Where the work of the Contractor has to be installed in close proximity to,<br />
or will interfere with the work of other trades, the Contractor shall assist in<br />
working out the space conditions to make a satisfactory adjustment. If so<br />
directed by the Engineer, the Contractor shall prepare composite working<br />
drawings and sections to a suitable scale not less than 1:50, clearly<br />
showing how his work is to be installed in relation to the work of other<br />
trades. If the Contractor installs his work before coordinating with other<br />
trades, or so as to cause any interference with the work of other trades, he<br />
shall make all the necessary changes without extra cost.<br />
4.8 All shop drawings and detailed drawings shall be made as per the<br />
requirements of the Local Authorities and tender drawings incorporating all<br />
the latest regulations and requirements. No separate drawings shall be<br />
issued for making the shop drawings.<br />
5.0 Samples and Catalogues<br />
5.1 Prior to ordering any equipment/ material/ system, the Contractor shall<br />
submit to the Engineer, the catalogues, along with samples from approved<br />
list of manufacturers. No material shall be procured prior to the approval<br />
by the Engineer.<br />
5.2 Approval of Materials<br />
All materials used on the Works shall be new and of the best quality<br />
available, conforming to the relevant specifications and as per good<br />
Engineering practice. Prior approval shall be obtained in writing from the<br />
HSCC/RIMS/2010/01 P I<br />
