Mean frequency of detection of birds, by community type and transect, recorded during repeatvisit VCP surveys, Saguaro National Park, Rincon Mountain District, 2001 and 2002. “Total transects” indicates in how many transects (all commununities; maximum value is 23) we recorded at least one individual during surveys. Frequency of detections includes all birds recorded including flyovers, birds seen >75 m from stations, and birds recorded outside of 8-minute-count periods.
