Miguela M. Mena is currently an Associate Professor at the
University of the Philippines Asian Institute of Tourism, and
a Visiting Associate Professor/Consultant at the Maejo University
School of Tourism Development in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
She obtained her PhD in Tourism Management at the Hong Kong
Polytechnic University School of Hotel and Tourism Management.
Her main research interests focus on international tourism in
developing countries, destination competitiveness, destination
policy and planning, destination management and marketing,
tourism entreprenuership, measurement of domestic tourism, and
information communication technology applications in tourism.
