5.0 Game Requirements<br />
5.1 Game Design<br />
5.1.1 Game Cycle. The following items describe the Game Cycle:<br />
a) A game commences when a player commits to a wager by performing an action which<br />
begins game play (e.g. pressing a “Play”, “Deal” or “Spin” button);<br />
b) A game is considered completed when:<br />
i) The player cannot continue playing without committing additional credits from<br />
the player’s account, and<br />
ii) Has no credits at risk.<br />
c) The following are all considered to be part of a single game, i.e.) have to be finished<br />
before the game is considered completed:<br />
i) Any feature, bonus or free games triggered from within the main game;<br />
ii) Any metamorphic features implemented in the game;<br />
iii) Games where the rules permit wagering of additional credits, for example<br />
Blackjack Insurance or the second part of a two part Keno game; and<br />
iv) Gamble features (for example, Double up).<br />
5.1.2 Game Fairness. The following requirements outline the objectives for game fairness:<br />
a) A game shall not be designed to give the player a false expectation of better odds by<br />
misrepresenting any occurrence or event;<br />
b) Each time a game element (base, primary, feature, bonus or free) is played, the player<br />
shall have a chance of obtaining any of the results displayed on the appropriate pay table<br />
of that game;<br />
c) Determination of events of chance must not be influenced, affected or controlled by<br />
anything other than numerical values derived in an approved manner from the approved<br />
Random Number Generator (RNG) in conjunction with the rules of the game;<br />
d) Except as provided by the rules of the game and for metamorphic games, events of<br />
