Petroleum Development Oman LLCRevision: 3.0Effective: 1 Apr 2009Workforce to be informed about the names of first aiders in each location ordepartment.3.2.2 Re-certification of First AidersThe first aid certification is usually valid for a maximum 2 to 3 years and in order tomaintain skills and knowledge levels, First Aiders must re-certified every 2 to 3 years byan accredited trainer.3.3 First Aid TeamFirst Aid Teams exist to assist in emergency response, particularly in the Interior, whereresources are geographically dispersed.The Nurse shall maintain a list of names, telephone numbers and locations of eachmember of the First Aid Team. This list shall be up to date and available at the clinicand emergency control room.3.4 First Aid KitsAll First Aid kits shall be:clearly identifiable and their location known by all staffstored in an accessible location, and shall not be lockedportable.All first aid kits shall contain, as a minimum, the contents listed in Appendix M –Contents of First Aid Kits. A list of the contents shall be stored with each kitA person shall be assigned responsibility to check each First Aid Kit weekly, to maintainthe kit fully-stocked, and to record the checks. Petroleum Development Oman LLCRevision: 3.0Effective: 1 Apr 20094 Clinics4.1 PDOClinic facilities shall be provided by PDO or its contractor as detailed in Appendix O.Access to the PDO Coastal Clinic shall be provided to the following people:Company employeesFamily members of entitled StaffSpecified contractors and subcontractors4.2 ContractorsContractors with camps or bases within 10 kilometres of the permanent accommodationfor contractors (PAC) shall use the existing PAC clinics, providing the existing PACclinic have adequate staff and resources to cope with the additional workforce) i.e aslong as there is at least 1 extra nurse in the clinic for every additional 500 people.Contractors shall provide transport for any personnel that require a visit to the clinic.Minimum requirements for Camp/Worksite clinics are detailed in Appendix O.The site clinic shall have:Access to TIER 2 MER ProfessionalsEasy ingress/egress with stretcherEasy access to ambulance services24 hours exclusive availabilityAdequate space to hold up 2 beds or more depending on the size of the workforce, waiting area and working space as well as storage cabinetsAdequate ventilation, illumination and temperature controlHand washing facilitiesProper medical waste disposal systemLockable filing cabinet.Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) archive and other medical referencematerials.Communication with site manager and Remote Medical support direct from siteclinicRefrigerator for certain drugsPage 15 SP-1230 : Specification for Medical Examination, Treatment & Facilities Printed 25-Sep-08The controlled version of this CMF Document resides online in Livelink®.
