OverviewDassault Systèmes ENOVIA delivers a collaborative product lifecycle management (PLM) solutionto customers in a diverse set of industries, including aerospace, automotive, life sciences, andindustrial equipment. ENOVIA V6, the latest version of the ENOVIA software, is an enterprisePLM solution for implementing business processes, letting all users view, share, and create in3D. ENOVIA V6 delivers a single PLM platform for intellectual property (IP) management thatmakes global collaboration possible via an HTTP connection.ENOVIA V6 ArchitectureThe ENOVIA V6 architecture is composed of centralized database with distributed file stores.The database is accessible to all users, regardless of their location. The remote sites use a localfile server to load large representation files, eliminating time-consuming network transmissions.The ENOVIA V6 clients use an HTTP or HTTPS connection to the application server. Allcommunication between sites supports proxy-reverse proxy implementation and encryptioncapabilities if Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is implemented. In addition to the IT security schemas,the ENOVIA V6 applications deliver specific security schemas for user management (P&O, orpermissions and ownerships) and data access (security).The ENOVIA V6 server contains the ENOVIA Live Collaboration environment, and theapplications are deployed via a Web Application Archive (WAR) or Enterprise Archive (EAR) filein a Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE) web application server. These components, alongwith the required database server and other application servers, make up the ENOVIA PLMsolution.
