Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs2. <strong>Emergency</strong> <strong>Operation</strong>s Group (EOG)The <strong>Emergency</strong> <strong>Operation</strong>s Group (EOG) is identified by the ExecutiveGroup and is composed of university officials who will make strategicoperational decisions necessary to support a disaster response. The EOG willprovide staffing in the <strong>Emergency</strong> <strong>Operation</strong>s Center to represent the primarydivisions of the <strong>University</strong>. The <strong>Emergency</strong> <strong>Operation</strong>s Group has theauthority to assign <strong>University</strong> resources and make operations decisions toprovide the most efficient response and recovery possible. Each respectivedivision will oversee the operations within that division. The ExecutiveGroup appoints a primary and two designees to serve in the <strong>Emergency</strong><strong>Operation</strong>s Group. In accordance with the National Incident ManagementSystem, each of the primary <strong>University</strong> Divisions will be referred to as abranch during activation.Immediately upon notification of an emergency or disaster, the primaryrepresentative of each division of the EOG will report to the designated<strong>Emergency</strong> <strong>Operation</strong>s Center.Once the <strong>Emergency</strong> <strong>Operation</strong>s Group is convened and operating within theEOC, they will continually make operational decisions for their respectivebranch, coordinate with external resources, provide information to theExecutive Group, and maintain continuous operations until the emergency orincident is terminated.The Executive Group is a part of the EOG. In addition, the followinguniversity personnel comprise the EOG:• <strong>Emergency</strong> Management Coordinator• Chief of Police• Director of Environmental Health and Safety• Co-Managers of Facilities• Director of Housing and Residence Life• Director of Student Health Services• Director of Auxiliary Services• Director of Network Services & Telecommunications• Director of Human Resources• Director of Counseling and Testing• Other university personnel as needed12
