The Executive Group will meet at a specified time to make criticaldecisions concerning university opening and closing informationand student evacuation. The EOG will meet as necessary.d. Contact will be maintained with Pasquotank-Camden <strong>Emergency</strong>Management to obtain critical information on weather conditions,county actions, and evacuation possibilities.e. The ECSU <strong>Emergency</strong> Management Coordinator will attendPasquotank-Camden <strong>Emergency</strong> Management meetings asnecessary and relay important ECSU decisions. The <strong>Emergency</strong>Management Coordinator will serve as the ECSU Liaison to thePasquotank-Camden EOC if it is activated.f. Appropriate procedures will be followed if mandatory or voluntaryevacuations are issued, campus is closed, or classes are canceled.g. Once immediate response missions and life-saving activitiesconclude, the emphasis shifts from response to recovery operationsand, if applicable, hazard mitigation.a. Recovery actions encompass the development, coordination, andexecution of service- and site-restoration plans and thereconstruction of university operations and services throughindividual, private-sector, governmental, non-governmental, andpublic assistance programs.b. Recovery actions may include cleanup and restoration of universityfacilities and residences; damage assessment; debris removal; reestablishmentof business operations; and re-opening of theuniversity.4. Damage Assessmenta. Facilities and Housing and Residence Life personnel will assess allparts of the university for damage. This initial assessment willfocus on life threatening damage and major destruction to theexterior of buildings. Design and Construction will also assist withthe initial assessment if possible. Priority for assessments will begiven to residence halls, utilities, buildings housing technologyequipment. Facilities personnel will report any damage back to theEOC, as well as the need for extra resources for repairs ifnecessary.31
