3.4.2. E1-B and E1-C Primary Codes<br />
The E1-B and E1-C primary codes are pseudo-random memory code sequences<br />
according to the hexadecimal representation provided in Annex C. Note that each set<br />
of codes for each signal component comprises 50 members.<br />
3.5. Secondary Codes<br />
3.5.1. Defi nition of Secondary Codes<br />
The secondary codes are fi xed sequences as defi ned in hexadecimal notation in<br />
Table 19 and Table 20, following again the convention used in paragraph 3.4.1.1. For<br />
secondary codes whose length is not dividable by four (case of CS25 1 only), the last<br />
(most right-hand) hexadecimal symbol is obtained by fi lling up the last group of code<br />
chips with zeros at the end in time (to the right), to reach a fi nal length of 4 binary<br />
symbols. Those two tables provide as well the code identifi ers together with the code<br />
lengths, the number of hexadecimal symbols and the number of fi lled zeros.<br />
For example, the CS251 secondary code in Table 19 corresponds to the binary sequence<br />
‘0 0 1 1 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 1 0 1 1 0 1 1 0 0 1 0’, the fi rst binary value corresponding to<br />
the fi rst secondary code chip in time.<br />
