In Hardap, 5 farmers were in full-time employment, 14 regarded themselvesas full-time farmers and 1 was retired. This indicates that financialcontributions from sources other than farming (either salaries or pensions) were relativelylow. Approximately one third (32%) of the people on resettlement farms were too youngto work and almost the same number of beneficiaries were unemployed.
