Schools‟ Provision for Gifted andTalented StudentsFindings• Definition: Incorporates Māori and multi-cultural conceptsJune 2008~ Some schools incorporated Māori or multi-cultural concepts of G&T intheir definition~ Many of these schools had high proportions of Māori and/ornon-Pākehā students~ The majority of schools did not adequately take into account Māori ormulti-cultural concepts in their definition~ Most of these schools had not considered this~ In some schools, Māori beliefs and perspectives were included, butthere was little practical application of these in programmes or instrategies
