We see progress in thetechnology of air travel, washing machines, cars, farm productivity, and a life ofgreater leisure than our ancestors. Weve sent men to the moon and back, and lostthe designs for how to do it. The incredible advances in science have enabled thetransformation of atomic energy into electricity, provided drugs that prevent or curesome of the most horrendous diseases that have plagued humanity, all in the nameof progress. Some of the greatest advances in technology have been achieved by theUnited States military, which isnt that s urprising considering they have received thelargest share of tax dollars, in the name of defense, providing biological warfare,nuclear missiles, stealth capabilities and even star wars.
