I have made a few remarks concerning the richness of modelsbased on RKHS, as well as models involving sparsity-inducing penaltieswith some remarks involving the Nature-Nurture Debate and PersonalizedMedicine. I end this contribution with thanks to my many coauthors — identifiedhere or not — and to my terrific present and former students. Advice:Treasure your collaborators! Have great students!AcknowledgementsThis work was supported in part by the National Science Foundation GrantDMS 0906818 and the National Institutes of Health Grant R01 EY09946.
