LR64-FC00-6600CASE CONSOLIDATION AND TRANSFERThe supervising judge <strong>of</strong> the Porter Family Court may enter orders for the consolidationand transfer <strong>of</strong> cases assigned to Family Court when the judicial <strong>of</strong>ficers presiding over such casesdo not object. No case shall be transferred or consolidated until the judicial <strong>of</strong>ficers to whom suchcases have been assigned have been advised <strong>of</strong> the contemplated action. The consolidation andtransfer <strong>of</strong> Family Court cases shall be accomplished by the entry <strong>of</strong> an order signed by thesupervising judge.LR64-FC00-6700JUDICIAL NOTICEJudicial Notice: any court having jurisdiction over a case assigned to Family Court can takejudicial notice <strong>of</strong> any relevant orders or Chronological Case Summary (CCS) entry issued by any<strong>Indiana</strong> Circuit, Superior, County, or Probate Court.Procedurally, if a court takes judicial notice <strong>of</strong>:(1) a court order, the court shall provide a copy <strong>of</strong> that order; or(2) a CCS or CCS entry(s), the court shall provide a copy <strong>of</strong> the entire CCS,the court shall provide copies <strong>of</strong> the order or CCS to the parties to the case at orbefore the time judicial notice is taken.LR64-FC00-6800ACCESS TO RECORDSAccess to Records: parties to a Family Court proceeding shall have access to all caseswithin the Family Court proceeding, with the exception <strong>of</strong> confidential cases or records to whichthey are not a party. Parties may seek access to confidential cases or records in another case withinthe Family Court proceeding in which they are not a party, by written petition based on relevancyand need. Confidential records shall retain their confidential status and the Family Court shalldirect that confidential records not be included in the public record <strong>of</strong> the proceedings.67
