(11) Court means the particular court for which the court reporter performs services. Courtmay also mean al <strong>of</strong> the courts in Porter County.(12) County indigent transcript means a transcript that is paid for from county funds and is forthe use on behalf <strong>of</strong> a litigant who has been declared indigent by a court.(13) <strong>State</strong> indigent transcript means a transcript that is paid for from state funds and is for theuse on behalf <strong>of</strong> a litigant who has been declared indigent by a court.(14) Private transcript means a transcript, including but not limited to a deposition transcript,that is paid for by a private party.(15) Expedited transcript means any transcript requested to be delivered sooner than one weekbefore the record is due to be filed with the Clerk <strong>of</strong> the Court <strong>of</strong> Appeals.7000.20 SALARIES AND PER PAGE FEES(1) Court reporters shall be paid an annual salary for time spent working under the control,direction and direct supervision <strong>of</strong> their supervising court during any regular work hours,gap hours or overtime hours. The supervising court shall enter into written agreementwith the court reporters which outlines the manner in which the court reporter is to becompensated for gap and overtime hours; i.e. monetary compensation or compensatorytime <strong>of</strong>f regular work hours.(2) The maximum per page fee a court reporter may charge for the preparation or a countyindigent transcript shall be a regular page rate <strong>of</strong> $3.50 per page; $3.75 per page, appellatepay rate; and an expedited rate <strong>of</strong> $6.50 per page for expedited transcripts. The courtreporter shall submit directly to the county a claim for the preparation <strong>of</strong> the countyindigent transcript. In setting this rate, we take into account the use <strong>of</strong> county equipmentfor transcription.(3) The maximum per page fee a court reporter may charge for the preparation <strong>of</strong> a stateindigent transcript shall be a regular page rate <strong>of</strong> $4.00 per page, payable as follows: $3.50per page directly to the court reporter and $ .50 per page paid directly to the county ifcounty equipment is used for transcription; and $4.25 per page, appellate page rate,payable as follows: $3.75 per page payable directly to the court reporter and $ .50 per pagepaid directly to the county if county equipment is used for transcription; and an expeditedrate <strong>of</strong> $6.50 per page for expedited transcripts, with $ .50 per page paid directly to thecounty if county equipment is used for transcription.(4) The maximum per page fee a court reporter may charge for the preparation <strong>of</strong> a privatetranscript shall be a regular page rate <strong>of</strong> $5.00 per page, payable as follows: $4.50 per pagepayable directly to the court reporter and $ .50 per page paid directly to the county if countyequipment is used for transcription; $5.25 per page, appellate page rate, payable as follows:69
