It is described here for compatibilitywith legacy applications. The sole use of $ZUTIL(113) is to reclaim routine object directoryblocks when upgrading ISM database directories to Caché. It is neither needed nor supportedfor Caché version 5.0 and subsequent versions. No such block space reclamation is requiredwhen upgrading databases from an earlier version of Caché to Caché version 5.0 (or anysubsequent version). When upgrading a database from ISM to Caché, it is recommended that you upgrade in twostages: First upgrade from ISM to a pre-5.0 version of Caché, and execute $ZUTIL(113) toreclaim block space. Then upgrade from that version of Caché to Caché version 5.0 (or subsequent).$ZUTIL(113) reclaims unneeded routine object directory blocks resulting from a conversionfrom ISM to Caché. $ZUTIL(113) is not supported in Caché version 5.0 (or subsequent version). The $ZUTIL(49) function can be used to determine the current block size and maximumblock size.788 Caché ObjectScript Reference
