Alongtime resident of Jersey City, Tom saidhe was inspired by Mayor JerramiahHealy’s “Green Initiative” and decidedto seek this opportunity to help the cityprotect and manage open space and othernatural resources, such as water and air.A follow-up on the sad newsreported a year ago regarding SallyElbert Kalin’s death from cancer.Sally’s parents, Vivian and EdwardElbert ’55, established a memorial fundin her honor. The fund’s dedicationreads: “The Sally Elbert Kalin ’87Memorial Fund for Study Abroad isestablished in the permanentendowment of <strong>Lafayette</strong> <strong>College</strong>.
