Kirby and her husband,Nick ’06, bought their first home inGladstone, N.J., in April.Alex Chatfield left IBM GlobalBusiness Services to join a startup digitaltechnology company in New York City.Since Alex joined AppNexus, thecompany has grown from fewer than 40employees in one office to more than120 employees in three offices aroundthe world.Greg Corcoran spent a year and ahalf serving as a volunteer emergencymedical technician in Hackensack, N.J.,and was recently hired as a full timeprofessional firefighter in his hometownof Ridgewood, N.J.Sylvie Mullins is working towardher Ph.D. in neuroscience at Universityof Maryland School of Medicine. Shereceived a predoctoral fellowship fromNational Institute on Drug Abuse insupport of her thesis project,“Adolescent Marijuana Use andMaturation of Cortical Functions.”Sylvie and her boyfriend, Charlie Raver,planned to buy their first home inBaltimore, in mid-September.Sarah Smith works as a high schoolbiology teacher and wetlands preservemanager at Germantown Academy,Fort Washington, Pa.Emily Gallant received her master’sin applied behavior analysis fromCaldwell <strong>College</strong> and will pursue herPh.D. in the same field at the college.Thao “Liz” Nguyen was awardedthe National Science Foundation EastAsia and Pacific Summer InstituteFellowship and studied at KAIST inSouth Korea this last summer.Terese Brown graduated inDecember from the fashion designprogram at Fashion Institute ofTechnology (FIT). She is now launchinga contemporary/couture women’s line,Terese Sydonna. The AAS Exhibit at FITfeatured Terese’s work in December,which the school’s newspaper detailed.Jason Brenner graduated fromGeorge Washington University medicalschool in May. After a one-year internshipin internal medicine at Lankenau MedicalCenter in Philadelphia, Jason will do athree-year residency in ophthalmology atTemple University. In June, he moved toSociety Hill in Philadelphia with AllisonQuigley ’08.Ben Goldstein and OsarenomaseEgharevba both graduated this springfrom Drexel University <strong>College</strong> ofMedicine. Ben plans to complete hisresidency at Rainbow Babies andChildren’s Hospital at Case WesternReserve University in Cleveland, whileOsa plans to attend Loyola University’sStritch School of Medicine for internalmedicine.Jeremy Lavine has worked at Iridium,a satellite communications company inTysons Corner, Va., since January. Heworks in program management forengineering, manufacturing, and supportof satellite modems and phones.Joseph Lanzot graduated fromRutgers School of Law and wasadmitted to both the New Yorkand New Jersey bar.Kaydence Cowley and BenDoremus were married June 4 inTelluride, Colo. <strong>Lafayette</strong> alums inattendance included Greg Black, BenFlath, Carrie Fritsche, Jaclyn Smith,Sam Hetzel ’06, Christian Malesky’08, Bailey Simone ’08, Chris Wehrly’08, Jon Esser ’09, and KatieThompson ’09.Trish Sumpf and Josh Gordonwere married May 7 in Bucks County,Pa. Trish graduated from Penn State<strong>College</strong> of Medicine in May and iscompleting an internal medicineresidency at University of Virginia. Joshand Trish moved to Charlottesville, Va.Josh is in his fifth year with Air Productsand Chemicals in the commercialtechnology department.Chrissy Fallivene planned to marryBilly Cavagnaro (Sacred Heart ’05) inNorth Caldwell, N.J., Sept. 24. Thewedding party included bridesmaidsEmily Goldman Garibaldi andSarah Smedley.Meghan Baker works at Fox Newsin New York City and has her ownweekly column, “App Attack,” whichfeatures useful apps for smartphones.The column runs on Fridays withvideo and written content on Foxnews.com. Meghan spent a weekend inMontauk with Allison Murray,Amanda Goldberg, Lauren Fisher,and Andrea Patterson.
