Surface tension shall be measured daily<strong>for</strong> 20 operating days, <strong>and</strong> weekly thereafter as long as thereis no violation of the surface tension requirement. If a violationoccurs, the measurement frequency shall return to daily <strong>for</strong>20 operating days, <strong>and</strong> weekly thereafter.(3) Facilities with an approved alternative method of complianceas specified in section 93102.4(b)(3) <strong>and</strong> using chemical fumesuppressants as all or partial control of hexavalent chromiumemissions must measure <strong>and</strong> monitor the surface tension ofthe electroplating or anodizing bath daily. The surface tensionmust be maintained at or below the surface tension measuredduring the per<strong>for</strong>mance test.(e)(f)Foam blanket thickness. The owner or operator shall monitor thefoam blanket thickness across the surface of the electroplating, oranodizing bath(s). The foam blanket thickness shall be maintainedconsistent with the requirements established during theper<strong>for</strong>mance test to demonstrate compliance with the emissionlimitation. Foam thickness shall be measured hourly <strong>for</strong> 15operating days, <strong>and</strong> daily thereafter as long as there is no violationof the foam thickness requirement. If a violation occurs, themeasurement frequency shall return to hourly <strong>for</strong> 15 operatingdays, <strong>and</strong> daily thereafter.Mechanical fume suppressants.
