The continuous design and developmentof new audio-visual materials relating to EMS requirescareful review to determine which best meet the needs ofthe program. Materials should be edited to assuremeeting the objectives of the <strong>curriculum</strong>.Exam gloves, stethoscope (6:1), blood pressure cuff(6:1), penlight, tube of glucose, suitable glucosesubstitute, vials of normal saline, syringes, gloves, sharpscontainers, injection practice devices, 2x2 gauze pads,bandaids, glucometers, test strips, and lancets.PERSONNELOne EMT-Basic instructor knowledgeable in treatment ofdiabetic emergencies.The instructor-to-student ratio should be 1:6 forpsychomotor skill practice.
