PCBS: Palestinian Family Survey, 2010The adequacy of infant feeding in children under the age of 24 months is provided in Table NU.5. Different criteria offeeding are used depending on the age of the child. For infants aged 0-5 months, exclusive breastfeeding is consideredas age-appropriate feeding, while infants aged 6-23 months are considered to be appropriately fed if they are receivingbreast milk and solid, semi-solid or soft food (36 percent). As a result of these feeding patterns, only 36 percent ofchildren aged 0-23 months are being appropriate fed. Age-appropriate feeding among all infants age 0-5 months dropsto 29 percent.
