PCBS: Palestinian Family Survey, 2010Issues related to knowledge of danger signs of pneumonia are presented in Table CH.8. Obviously, mothers’ knowledge of thedanger signs is an important determinant of care-seeking behaviour. Overall, 33 percent of women know of the two danger signsof pneumonia – fast and difficult breathing, with the highest percentage in (Jericho & Al-Aghwar) and Qalqiliya governorates (53percent and 52 percent respectively) and the lowest in Salfit governorate (5 percent) and Ramallah and Al- Bireh and Gaza governorates(18 percent and 19 percent respectively).
