Using the phone 19If you don’t have a Caller Display service, the screenshows External call.1. Press to accept the call.Call WaitingIf you’ve got a Call Waiting service and it is switchedon, your BT Aura 1500 will alert you to a secondincoming call if you’re already engaged on anexternal call.1. You’ll hear the call waiting tone and the displaywill show the number of the caller, or the name if itmatches an entry in your contacts.2. Press to answer the new call and your first calleris put on hold.3. Press to toggle between the two callers.4. Press to hang up the current call.Auto answerIf auto answer’s set to ON youcan answer a call by lifting thehandset off the base.If auto answer’s set to OFF,you’ll need to lift the handsetoff the base and press too.Auto answer ON is the defaultsetting. See page 38.To switch your call waitingservice on or off, see page 48.Earpiece volumeDuring a call, you can adjust the handset earpiecevolume. There are five levels.1.
