4Quick set-up guideWhere to put your phone• Place the base within 3metres of a mains powersocket and 2 metres of aphone socket so the cableswill reach.• Make sure it’s at least ametre away from otherelectrical appliances to avoidinterference.• Don’t place the phone orbase in a bathroom or otherhumid area.• The product works bysending radio signalsbetween the handset andbase. The strength of thesignal depends on where youposition the base. Putting itas high as possible can helpgive you the best signal.IMPORTANT• Don’t connect the phone lineto a phone socket until thehandset is fully charged.• The base station shouldbe plugged into the mainspower socket all the time.1 Plug in1. Plug the mains poweradaptor with the bluering on the connectorinto the base, with thecable clipped in thegroove provided.12. 2 Charge1. Activate the batteries by pulling the plastic tabaway from the back of the handset.Rechargeable batteriesalready fittedRemove this taband charge batteriesfor 24 hours before use.2. Place the handset on the base to charge.3. After 24 hours, plug the phone line cord into thephone wall socket.Quick set-up guide 5Talk/Standby timeUnder ideal conditions, thehandset batteries should giveup to 15 hours talk time or150 hours standby on a singlecharge.
