Occupational accidentsAny accidents which have occurred in the course of work shouldbe recorded. All doses received in abnormal exposures (i.e.duringemergency situations or as a result of a radiation accident) shouldbe recorded together and clearly distinguished from normal exposures. It is often useful to include in accident records both the physicalmonitoring data and the findings of medical examinations. In particular, all medical examinations made following an accident, togetherwith their results and the decisions taken, should be mentioned.4. 3. 4. 2. Occupational diseasesThe health file must contain mention of any occupational diseasesthat may occur. These may be assumed occupational diseases, i. e.those that may be due to ionizing radiation but for which no causalrelationship has been established, especially if working conditionscomply with the standards laid down by the International Commissionon Radiological Protection. In cases of true occupational disease, related to abnormal workingconditions, both the medical findings with regard to the diseaseand the results of physical monitoring with regard to the exposureconditions should be recorded.4.3.5. NotificationThe individual files contain information on each worker1s radiationexposures and state of health. Workers asking for them maybe given the results recorded in their individual files. The 1confidential'notification of radiological data is recorded individuallyby name in case of over-exposure. The ' non-confidential' notificationof radiological data can be collective and anonymous only;it may be of interest in cases of normal exposure complying withthe radiation protection standards.117
