ppbRAE 3000 User’s GuideEntering Search Mode From Hygiene ModeIn order to change the instrument’s operational mode from HygieneMode to Search Mode, you must enter the password-protectedProgramming Mode:1. Hold [MODE] and [N/-] until you see the password screen.2. Use [Y/+] to increment to the number you want for the firstdigit. (If you pass by the desired number, press [Y/+] until itcycles through to 0 again. Then press [Y/+] until you reachthe desired number.)3. Press [N/-] to advance to the next digit.4. Again press [Y/+] to increment the number.5. Press [N/-] to advance to the next digit.Continue the process until all four numbers of the password havebeen input. Then press [MODE] to proceed.The screen changes to icons with the label “Calibration.”1. Press [N/-] to advance to “Monitor Setup.”2. Press [Y/+] to select Monitor Setup.Under Monitor Setup, you will see “Op Mode.”Press [Y/+] to select.You will see:HygieneSearchThe current mode is indicated by a dark circle within the circle infront of either Hygiene or Search.1. Select Hygiene or Search by pressing [N/-].2. Press [Y/+] to place the instrument into the selected mode.78

Press [Y/+] to commit the change and exit to the MonitorSetup screen, or press [N/-] to Undo (exit to the MonitorSetup screen without changing the Mode).Optional Graphic Screen In Search ModeUsing ProRAE Studio, you can set your instrument to show a graphicdisplay instead of a numeric display of ongoing data. Consult yourProRAE Studio disc for information.During sampling, the display’s readings are shown numerically, plusthe graph tracks the highest readings over time. The numeric readingalternates between the value and the measurement units, as well:79
