Ring setting or volume is low. Do one of the following steps:• Adjust the ringing level from the frontpanel using the volume up/down keys.• Check same status of handset,headset (if connected) and throughthe Hands-Free Speakerphone.“Service Unavailable” isdisplayed on the graphic display.Outbound or inbound calling isunsuccessful.You turned off the ringer.The user pressed the New Callsoft key, dialed a number withthe handset on-hook, attemptedto make a call from the contactdirectory when the phone wasnot registered.Do one of the following steps:• Place a call to the phone underinvestigation. Check that the displayindicates incoming call information.• Lift the handset. Ensure dial tone ispresent and place a call to anotherextension or number. Check that thedisplay changes in response.Do one of the following steps:• When there is an incoming call, lift thehandset, press Speaker key or pressHeadphone key and you will get adialtone.• Pressing the ringing Line Key orAnswer soft key will answer the call.• If the handset is off-hook whenAnswer soft key or Line Key ispressed, the call is routed to thehandset.• If the handset is on-hook whenAnswer soft key or Line Key ispressed, the call is routed to thespeaker.Do one of the following steps:• Check with the system administratorto see when your phone will beregistered.5 - 6
