M.A.T. interns are required to con<strong>for</strong>m to individual school dresspolicy. <strong>The</strong> <strong>Citadel</strong> does not permit ―dress down days‖ <strong>for</strong> student teaching interns.I. Visits by Arts and Sciences FacultyEach teaching intern should expect to be contacted by a <strong>Citadel</strong> faculty member fromhis/her content area and be asked to schedule a classroom observation. <strong>The</strong> faculty memberwill prepare a written statement relating to the intern's per<strong>for</strong>mance and ability to managesubject area content. This written statement will be placed in the student's permanent record inthe School of Education and will be reviewed by the college supervisor at the time of theevaluation process to aid in the determination of the student intern's course grade. <strong>The</strong> criteria<strong>for</strong> judging per<strong>for</strong>mance are based on certain indicators. <strong>The</strong>se indicators are the results ofratings of either competent or developing competence as reflected in the South Carolina ADEPTper<strong>for</strong>mance standards.
