<strong>Environmental</strong> <strong>Education</strong> <strong>Strategy</strong> 2009-2012(iii)A Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Community<strong>Campbelltown</strong> features an increasingly significant proportion of residents from non-English speaking backgrounds. According to Australian Bureau of Statistics Census2006 information, 75% of residents within the LGA were born in Australia, theremainder of the population originate from over 30 other countries resulting in adiverse multicultural community (see Figure 2). This same data also reports that 15%of our population are from non-English speaking countries. The most commonlanguages spoken at home other than English are Arabic and Tagalog (Filipino) (seeFigure 3).
