Yajnas (sacrifices), fastsand other vows are also equally helpful. The solar energysurges through the countless nerves of the body. Thesenses merge in the mind, at the moment of death; theJivi who has realised that it was all this, while limited bythe mind, then escapes into the Hridayakasa through thenerves. At last, on the point of death, the Jivi moves outof the Sushumna into the solar rays and from thence tothe Surya Loka itself. The journey does not end there. Itreaches out into Brahma Loka too.But the Jivi who is caught in the mire of Ajnana,who is identified with the mind and its vagaries, escapesthrough the ear or eye or other senses and falls into Lokas,where Karma rules. The feeling of content and joy onegets in deep sleep is the result of Ajnana persisting in theindividual.The Chiththa is the source and support ofResolution. All resolutions, decisions and plans are theproducts of the Chiththa. They are of its form. Theyoriginate there. They are registered there.
