Adjusting the pan <strong>and</strong> tilt drag<br />

Both the pan <strong>and</strong> tilt mechanisms on the <strong>Fusion</strong> <strong>FH</strong>-<strong>100</strong> head incorporate the patented <strong>Vinten</strong><br />

lubricated friction (LF) system to ensure smooth movement of the camera about these axes<br />

which are fitted with dials to adjust the drag setting. The drag adjustment dials are mounted<br />

directly on each axis. The pan drag adjustment dial [4] is located beneath the camera cradle [1]<br />

<strong>and</strong> the tilt drag adjustment dial [21] above the connections on the side of the head (see<br />

Components <strong>and</strong> connections on pages 11 <strong>and</strong> 12).<br />

NOTE: The whip-pan facility is not affected by the pan drag setting.<br />

To increase drag, turn the appropriate dial clockwise <strong>and</strong> to decrease drag, turn the dial anticlockwise<br />

as shown in Fig. 19.<br />
