Temperature Controller InstallationIndoor models have their controller built into the front panel. A kit is available that allows the integrated controllerto be removed and used as a remote controller. Additional controllers can also be installed.Location• The controller should be out of reach of smallchildren.• Avoid locations where the controller may becomehot (near the oven or radiant heater).• Avoid locations in direct sunlight. The digitaldisplay may be difficult to read in direct sunlight.• Avoid locations where the temperature controllercould be splashed with liquids.• Do not install in locations where it can be adjustedby the public.ConfigurationsA maximum of 4 temperature controllers, includingwired and wireless, can be installed for a water heateror bank of water heaters. Controllers can only bewired in parallel. Controllers cannot be wired inseries.The 4 temperature controllers can consist of multipleMC-91’s or MC-502RC’s but only 1 BC-100V and only1 MC-100V.Any one of the 5 types of controllers can be installedby itself and still operate the water heater.
