NV9 USB Manual Set – Section 4 254.10 Guidance NotesCleaningThe NV9 USB Validator has been designed in a way to prevent damage and airbornecontamination reaching the optical sensors; however, depending upon theenvironment the NV9 USB may require occasional cleaning or belt changing.Caution!Do not use solvent basedcleaners on any part of theNV9 USB unit.Do not use solvent based cleaners such asalcohol, petrol, methylated spirits, white spirit orPCB cleaner. Using these solvents can causepermanent damage to the unit; only use a milddetergent solution as directed below.To clean the NV9 USB, open the notepath by sliding the red release catchon the front of the validator to theleft (as indicated in the picture) - thiswill allow access to the lozenge andnote pathReleasecatchWARNING!Disconnect power BEFOREany cleaning operationUnless stated otherwise, you should disconnectthe power BEFORE carrying out any cleaningoperations to avoid the risk of causing damageto the validator.Copyright © Innovative Technology Ltd 2012GA550-2
