FIELD SERVICE MANUALThis section is one part of a complete manual set: typically, a field service engineerwho is maintaining the product would use this section.This section contains the essential information that the field engineer needs to clean,maintain and fault find an NV9 USB Validator that is installed in a host machine.The NV9 USB Validator has been designed to minimise any problems or performancevariations over time. This has been achieved by careful hardware and softwaredesign; this attention to the design means there is very little user maintenancerequired.2.1 CleaningThe NV9 USB Validator has been designed in a way to prevent damage and airbornecontamination reaching the optical sensors; however, depending upon theenvironment the NV9 USB may require occasional cleaning or belt changing.Caution!Do not use solvent basedcleaners on any part of theNV9 USB unit.Do not use solvent based cleaners such asalcohol, petrol, methylated spirits, white spirit orPCB cleaner.
