The original design mimicked the c-clamp that is placedon the Baxter Flo-Gard series of infusion pumps and can be seen below in Fig.2.1.2.3.Figure 2.1.2.3: Moffatt Products C-Clamp Base for Use with Flexible ArmSince this design doesn’t have the angle that is incorporated into the Baxter Flo-Gard series, the clamp will likely slip and wouldn’t be able to support the weightof our design. To solve this problem we changed our design towards amachined mounting block. The mounting block will have a three inch area thatwill connect to the IV pole along with a screw with a wing nut to tighten theblock around the pole.
