OPERATION <strong>INSTRUCTION</strong>S ––––– 53Be sure to check the alarm devices and other instruments on the panel before and after starting the engine. Ifthe devices are not working properly, it is impossible to prevent any problems arising from insufficient oil andwater in the engine. Make checking the alarm and other devices before and after starting a regular practice.4.2.1 Checking alarm lamps1) Insert the key into the starter switch.2) Turning the key to the ON position, the alarm devicesfunction as follows.• Battery charge alarm lamp comes on.• Engine oil press. alarm lamp comes on.• Cooling water temp. alarm lamp does not come on.When the lamps function as above, everything is normal.3) When the key is turned to the START position to startthe engine and then returned to the ON position afterthe engine starting up. the alarm devices function asfollows.All alarm lamps go off. After the engine starts up makeit the rule to check alarm devices.
