The titles, abstracts,case registry or subject headings were searched for keywords when available.Due to the different algorithms employed by the different databases this wasnot always possible.The search strategy was designed to be inclusive and to identify as manyrelevant studies as possible. The inclusive search captured non-relevantstudies; therefore subsequent steps in the review process were designed toidentify and omit non-relevant studies from further review.The review team identified 19 relevant articles prior to the search that wereused to test the face validity of the literature search. An initial search missed10 of the 19 articles, due primarily to the absence of keywords in the “IPC”category (Appendix D). The search was expanded to include the terms“organizational policies and practices.” A second search captured 17 of the19 must have articles and was considered to have face validity.Content experts identified by the review team were also requested to providerelevant peer-reviewed articles.
