InstallationThe magnet in the syringe carrier will hold it in place.4. Place the spotting tip through the supporting tubing in the needle guide and securethe Y-connector to the base using the holder clamp.Install the Matrix Addition Syringe Pump1. Install the vial holder on the syringe pump (Figure 3-3).Figure 3-3Matrix addition syringe pump and vial holder2. Install the syringe in the syringe drive.3. Connect the intake tubing to the bottom port of the valve. Place the other end oftubing in the matrix vial.4. Connect the waste tubing to the top port of the valve. Place the other end of tubing inthe waste vial.5. Connect the spotter connecting capillary (360 µm OD x 75 µm ID) to the middle portof the valve.6. Connect the RS-232 cable between the computer and the matrix addition syringepump.7.
