The GAL make use ofthe ICT services organizers:• VÚVH in Br<strong>at</strong>islava – n<strong>at</strong>ional reference labor<strong>at</strong>ory for thesphere of w<strong>at</strong>ers (surface, ground- and waste w<strong>at</strong>ers);• University Wageningen in Netherlands – the sphere ofanalyses of sediments, sludge, stream clays and soil clays– programme SETOC – testing of organic substances;• University Wageningen in Netherlands – the sphere ofanalyses of soils – programme ISE – testing of inorganicsubstances;• Open University in United Kingdom, programme GeoPT,analyses of various types of geological m<strong>at</strong>erial – testing ofmacro- and trace chemical elements;• TECO Praha – the sphere of solid fuels analyses (blackand brown coal and coke) – analyses of the contents oftotal sulphur, ash, total he<strong>at</strong>ing value and he<strong>at</strong>ing capacity;• SAŽP in Br<strong>at</strong>islava – the sphere of analyses of waste, testingof inorganic and organic substances;• SHMÚ in Br<strong>at</strong>islava – the sphere of analyses of emissions– testing of organic substances.Reference labor<strong>at</strong>oryThe Geoanalytical Labor<strong>at</strong>ories with Certific<strong>at</strong>e on Accredit<strong>at</strong>ionNo. T-002 as an authorised organizer of competencetests organized and evalu<strong>at</strong>ed the interlabor<strong>at</strong>ory compar<strong>at</strong>ivetest EnviPT-4 Trace elements in sludge, which was a follow-upof previous EnviPT programmes.The programme objective was to verify the GAL competence,which analyze and carry out control of the risk substancescontent for applic<strong>at</strong>ion of cleaning-plant sludge in agriculturalsoils and forest soils.Selection of risk substanceswas focused in heavymetals in accord with the ActNo. 188/2003 on applic<strong>at</strong>ionof cleaning-plant sludge andbottom sediments in soils.In the sample there wasdetermined dry m<strong>at</strong>ter contentand content of 8 chemicalelements (As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg,Ni, Pb and Zn) after extractionby aqua-regia. In the EnviPT-4test particip<strong>at</strong>ed 10 labor<strong>at</strong>oriesfrom the Czech Republicand Slovakia.Certific<strong>at</strong>e on Accredit<strong>at</strong>ion No. T-002.Extension of the GALactivity on new testsThe GAL extended carried out analyses on new tests.We kept and valid<strong>at</strong>ed the methodologies for a defi nition ofthe following tests:Accredited tests:• Defi nition of SOx by theAES-ICP method,• Defi nition of phenol by themethod of gas chrom<strong>at</strong>ographywith flame-ionizingdetector,• Defi nition of emissions offormic and acetic acidsfrom st<strong>at</strong>ionary sources ofcontamin<strong>at</strong>ion, method ofcapillary isotachophoresis.Non-accredited tests:• Definition of active aluminium,oxal<strong>at</strong>e forms of Fe and Mnand exchange capacity in Certifi c<strong>at</strong>e CRM KZ1soils,• Defi nition active SiO2 and CaO,• Defi nition trace chemical elements in nails and hairs,• Sampling for optimis<strong>at</strong>ion of working <strong>at</strong>mosphere factors,• We have worked out a method for determin<strong>at</strong>ion of easilyreleasable cyanides in solid samples and waste w<strong>at</strong>ersaccording to STN EN ISO 6703-2,• Enhancement of triazine herbicides determin<strong>at</strong>ion onnew analyses by the method of gas chrom<strong>at</strong>ographywith mass detection.The new analytical methodology is implemented inaccord with requirements of the SGIDŠ projects and withEuropean legisl<strong>at</strong>ion for groundw<strong>at</strong>ers quality assessment.First of all it concerns the determin<strong>at</strong>ion of the organic substances,which enables to be quantified a novel gas chrom<strong>at</strong>ographwith mass detector.The implement<strong>at</strong>ion of new methodologies is also adjustedto the requirements of extern subcontractors. Nowadaysthis is valid for analyses of various kinds of biofuels –briquettes, pellets, split wood and agricultural plants debris– and analyses of traditional fuel – coal. Based upon theresults of analyses we elabor<strong>at</strong>e expert reports for estim<strong>at</strong>ionof conformity with European legisl<strong>at</strong>ion and calcul<strong>at</strong>ionof CO 2emissions volumes for producers in SR.A wide scope of performed analyses and various typesof tests and m<strong>at</strong>rixes asks for top-qualified staff.
