TOTALPAC2 Page 1 of 21- Control Section1.1 Product DescriptionTOTALPAC2 Integrated Fire Protection SystemControl SectionWhen the TOTALPAC2 unit is provided without any controlpanel, such as in retrofit applications where the unit isconnected and controlled by a central control panelalready installed in the building or premises.When such is the case, the top control section of theTOTALPAC2 is not provided and is replaced by a fieldwiring junction box (See Figure 1 for details). All electricalcomponents in the trim (pressure switches, supervisoryswitches, etc.) are factory wired to a terminal strip (TBA)for contractor's field wiring. The junction box is providedwith a cover plate maintained in place by 4 screws andcontains the wiring schematic on its internal face.Junction box has 4 knock-outs for contractor field wiring.1.2 Remote Controlled TOTALPAC2 (without ControlPanel)The installing contractor should make sure the remotecontrol panel is both listed and programmed to handle therequired sequence of operation necessary to operate theautomatic sprinkler system. Refer to MECHANICALSECTION, appropriate standards and Authority HavingJurisdiction for additional information.1.3 Technical DataCabinet:Steel enclosure: Refer to Cabinet Data Sheet for furtherdetails.Environment (electrical section):Temperature: 32 o F. (0 o C) to 120 o F (48 o C)Humidity: 85% Relative Humidity (non-condensing) at90 o F (32 o C) maximum.AC Power:The unit may be provided with an excess pressure pumpor an air compressor.
