• Information technology risksAn information technology risk map has been established and a Business Recovery Plan is tested everyyear to verify <strong>the</strong> ability of <strong>the</strong> company to respond in <strong>the</strong> event of a major crisis with an information systemcentre to reconstruct its infrastructure and put back online <strong>the</strong> critical applications that support <strong>the</strong> Group'soperations. An action plan to secure our information systems has also been established with itsimplementation to be carried out over a period of several years.d) Insurance and risk managementThe objective of <strong>the</strong> insurance strategy is to safeguard Group assets and protect <strong>the</strong> Group from <strong>the</strong>potential impact of material risks. The strategy is organised at two levels: At a central level, <strong>the</strong> Groupnegotiates <strong>the</strong> international insurance programme to cover its main risks based according to terms that areavailable; At <strong>the</strong> local level, subsidiaries take out insurance policies to meet <strong>the</strong>ir local regulatory obligationsand obtain additional coverage to supplement <strong>the</strong> international programmes for <strong>the</strong>ir specific riskexposures.This insurance coverage is provided in <strong>the</strong> traditional insurance market from top standing insurancecompanies without use of captive insurance vehicles. The placement of this programme is reviewedannually.<strong>Guerbet</strong>’s principal insurance policies provide coverage for:- Damage to property and business interruption. Maximum coverage for <strong>the</strong> Group is €250 million perclaim. This amount can evolve according to <strong>the</strong> estimated Maximum Possible Loss (MPL) in termsof property damage or operating losses resulting from business interruption.- Civil liability: product liability, liability for clinical trials, environmental damage, comprehensivegeneral liability and directors and officers liability.- Transport insurance for goods and merchandise both for France and international shipments.O<strong>the</strong>r coverage includes, as required, policies for Works Building Insurance and Contractor's All RiskInsurance for our most important construction projects.55
