3) Societal informationa) Territorial, economic and social impactAs an economic stakeholder in <strong>the</strong> regions where it operates, <strong>Guerbet</strong> is committed to modernising itsindustrial infrastructure and developing more ecological solutions. With this objective, €197 million wereinvested from 2005 to 2012 at <strong>the</strong> French sites of Aulnay (Seine-Saint-Denis), Lanester (Morbihan), Marans(Charente Maritime) and Gonesse (Val d’Oise). The employment generated from <strong>the</strong>se activities is thuslargely local and regional.b) Relations with stakeholders<strong>Guerbet</strong> supports different organisations and associations concerned by <strong>the</strong> development and activity of <strong>the</strong>Group. Areas covered concern measures in favour of integration, general education and organisationshaving a connection with <strong>Guerbet</strong>'s activities (for example, medical and pharmacy schools).The partnership with <strong>the</strong> association "Nos quartiers ont du talent" was in this way streng<strong>the</strong>ned in 2012.This mentoring programme for young students from under-resourced urban districts engaged in a jobsearch enabled <strong>Guerbet</strong> employees to contribute <strong>the</strong>ir advice on CVs, letters of motivation or recruitmentinterviews.As for <strong>the</strong> Lanester site, it opened up its doors to young students from <strong>the</strong> Lorient University Institute ofTechnology (IUT) to provide <strong>the</strong>m with an opportunity to discover <strong>the</strong> company, <strong>the</strong> different business linesand <strong>the</strong> requirements for a production site of active pharmaceutical ingredients.The Marans and Lanester sites, through local coordinating bodies (CLIC or Comité Local d’Information etde Concertation), engage with stakeholders that include residents from neighbouring areas, regionalgovernments and representatives of <strong>the</strong> central government, on <strong>the</strong> report evaluating <strong>the</strong>ir operatingactivity. In 2012, <strong>the</strong> status of <strong>the</strong> review of <strong>the</strong> PPRT technology risk prevention plans was presented.c) Subcontracting, suppliers and fair practicesThe Group's financial and purchasing policies establish in particular rules for ethical conduct in relationswith <strong>Guerbet</strong>'s partners (suppliers, subcontractors, etc.). The Group is also subject to strict regulationsgoverning relations with professionals in <strong>the</strong> healthcare sector (for example, French DMOS act regulatingrelations between businesses and <strong>the</strong> medical profession).In 2012, <strong>Guerbet</strong> continued to participate in <strong>the</strong> CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) committee of LEEM(1) .
